Donald Farr just let me know that he called Casino Del Sol and they gave him rooms at the $99 rate.  Maybe they have a few rooms left and maybe they added a few even after telling me they wouldn't.  I recommend calling them before you book elsewhere.

I'm all set too with two cars entered, can't wait for the Pupu Party.
I don't always downshift, but when I do it is near a Prius so they can hear me hurting the environment.

Great!  We just had a very productive club/show meeting and more info will appear on our show website in a few days.

Two Announcements:

First:  Thanks to a ballroom booking error by our host hotel, we need to make a scheduling change. Our Friday night pool party will now be on Saturday, and our Saturday night banquet will be on Friday. Everything else remains the same.

If you have registered for either event and for some reason the scheduling change means you cannot attend the banquet or pool party, please contact us and we will refund your payment.  We do need the request no later than one week before the event because of the food orders.

Second: We now have a block of rooms for Thursday through Sunday at the Hilton Garden Inn Tucson Airport. The rate is $99.00 a night, and they provide a free shuttle to the show site. The group name for the reservations is "Spirit of the Sun." The phone number is (520) 741-0505.  The booking code is SSNS.

Thanks, we were scrambling this week when we found out that they hadn't held our ballroom and had booked a 500-guest quincineara in there.  They offered to hold our banquet outside in a tent.  So, we just switched nights and got some benefits for that.

Forgot to mention, if you didn't get a room at Casino Del Sol and previously booked the Hilton Garden Inn, call in and get switched into our new roomblock there.

Laurie:

Post the map of the show site here like you did on the MCA page.  Also, Matt and I will have a rental car if anyone needs to park their trailer and needs a ride to hotel registration.

I'm hoping trailer parking is close to the hotel, is it?

It's not that far a walk from the trailer parking to the hotel, but when you go to check in, you can park in those lots just west of the show area on the map.  And, really, if there aren't any trailers in the drivethrough, you could just pull in there.  We just don't want a trailer logjam in there.

Oh, and so you know, the area just below the show area is Ava Amphitheater and there will be restrooms available there.

Thank you Laurie, the map is very helpful, it is pretty close for most everything.
