Topic: Ball Joint Boots--Correct #

I going through my NOS parts and came across boxes stamped C7OZ-3A105-A.  Inside are pairs of boots some with the raised number C7OA-3A047-A UPPER and some with raised number C7OA-3A105-A  LOWER.  Before I list these for sale, I want to make sure of their application.  I could not find these raised number in my parts book and do not want to provide a wrong description.  Has anyone come across this before?

Congratulation, you have just become a victim of the Ford Motor Company part number system. A "Z" in the fourth position (C7OZ-) indicates that the part is under the procurement control of Ford Service division. It's the ordering and inventory part number marked on the box and used by dealers. It is not marked on the part (tagged maybe). The contents of the box is the real part which, if marked, is marked with the engineering part number that signified which engineering group designed the part (C7OA-, "A" = the body group). This part number system allowed Ford to consolidate interchangeable parts under one part number. Your C7 (1967) part is what Ford used for service on Mustangs, Fairlanes and other lines for years 1964 1/2 thru 1969 (per the book). P/N C7OZ-3A105-A is for the lower arm which has an engineering number of C7OA-3A105-A, P/N C7OZ-3A105-B is for the upper arm which has an engineering number of C7OA-3A047-A. It looks like someone put the two boots in the same box.

What I have are identical to Jeff's pictures shown above. Thanks for the application information.  The engineering numbers were throwing me clear off track.
I corrected the part # on the one box to end in B, clarifying the correct part contained inside.
