Early '70 Dearborn Breather Cap?
« on: October 19, 2014, 07:05:10 PM »
I'm trying to figure out what is the correct oil breather cap for my car.  It's is a 1970 Mach 1, 351W-2v.  Built at Dearborn on 09/24/69.  Marti report says nothing about emissions.  I've seen several types on the different parts vendors below.  Thanks for the help everyone.

Black push on.

Black twist on with pcv valve elbow. They have another one like this but in chrome.

I've also seen a lot of pictures of 70 mach 1s with this style cap..  But this one is listed as a 72-73 (and for a 351C)

Very early car you have there

Looked through my picture and it appears that your #2 is the correct one for your application #3 was used on the 351 2V Cleveland applications

Hope this helps

Both examples are fairly early 70 H code Dearborn cars ( 0F10251x xxx & 0F11188x)
