I don't know when, but my original door jamb switches on our 69 Mach1, Feb. 24, 1969, Metuchen built, still has the Autolite name on the face.

Thanks Priceless for your post. What I have found so far is all 67's had the Autolite on the face. In 68 there seems to be a mix of both styles in all plants. Now with the information that the Autolite on the face version was still around in 69 leads me to believe that in 68 and 69 there must have been two suppliers.

Marty, my findings on 68 are consistant with what you are seeing. Mixture of with and without. Isnt 67 a different switch with the multitude of retaining prongs rather than the 68/69 version with only 2?

Yes that is right. The 67 switch the wire bullet connectors plug in to the back of the switch individually. While the 68 was a molded cap that included both wires.

Maybe a difference in plants and suppliers to each again?  Guess we need to start collecting another detail. Unfortunately the box of them I have I never labeled where each came from and in pictures I don't have hundreds of close up of this specific part. Would guess that this thread will collect additional details and data as time passes

Here are some samples of what I have found.
The first pic is a SJ 67 built 11-04-66 the second shows the 67 wiring and the retainer tabs that go completely around the switch.
the third pic is a SJ built 7-16-68 that has the two locking tabs and no Autolite on the face. The forth shows how the wiring is in a connector cap.
The fifth is a SJ built 12 -15-67 has Autolite on the face and has the retainer tabs that go completely around the switch.
I have a NJ built 12-02-67 that is the same as third pic.
I do not have any 68 Dearborn cars at this time.
