1964 1/2 260 air cleaner (Falcon type)
« on: October 16, 2014, 04:40:11 PM »
I'm restoring an early production convertible built on Mar 18th, 1964 (#1908 out of Dearborn) and need help determining the correct air cleaner to use.  Is it possible this car came with the Falcon style cleaner with the smaller lid diameter?

+1, they are not even compatible with a Mustang.  If you ever see one of the Falcon-style air cleaners used on a Mustang, look for the wear mark on the snorkel where it makes contact with the bottom of the hood.
