in the process of cleaning we discovered correct BF42 spark plugs with the star logo in place on all cylinders. the correct starter solenoid with remains of a red check dot on the top.
pictures attached

all sheet metal front to rear has dates of MAY JUNE 66. most casting numbers on engine components are 6F dated with one exception being the driver side exhaust manifold which had a casting of 6C17 and it is very obvious it is original to the car as the lock tabs and exhaust manifold and all hardware still have blue paint on them.
mike re-routed the spark plug leads and corrected the heater hoses.

I though the engine/bay was clean before (not perfect) but geez the difference im my eyes alone is amazing.

enjoying the time and effort involved in doing this. tomorrow is a day off for us all as we have drop bears, boxing kangaroos and great white sharks on our animal search list. maybe even a Tasmanian devil if we are lucky.

enjoy, Regards.
