Correct part # for 66 Hipo cast intake?
« on: October 01, 2014, 01:54:50 PM »
For an October build 66, is C5OE 9425 C correct? Just stumbled across one that appears to date coded C2...too early?

I believe your build date would be appropriate to be shown as Oct, 1965 for a 66 build year. However, C5OE-9425-C was used in 1965 only (Mannel, sec E-6). You should have a C6OE-9425-B manifold. There is no difference between a HP intake and a standard 4 barrel manifold.

Steve,
As Jim stated, the 4v and HiPo used the same manifold. I checked my manifold and although it is dated 5J, it is indeed a C6OE-9425-B.

p.s. No luck yet on the spring numbers for ya but I haven't forgotten.
