Fan Shroud Fit Issues

So I recently replaced an aftermarket fan clutch with a NOS version and also replaced the 7 blade C6 fan with the correct 5 blade fan on my fastback (A code, AC car, 3 row radiator upgrade).  I had no problems with clearance on that fan but now after installing everything the 5 blade fan is slightly scrapping the fan shroud towards the bottom if I accelerate.  The shroud is as far down as it can go.  Any suggestions on how to fix it or what could be causing it?

are the motor mounts in good shape? is the shroud a repro?

Has the engine been lowered ?

Are the engine mounts shot, ( ie too much movement when accelerating as posted ) ?

Work around fix:  slotting the shroud some more so you can lower it. This will require a little bending where the shroud meets the lower radiator hose .

Shroud I believe is original or at least a Ford replacement as it has the rubber on the battery side stapled.  Motor mounts look original but can't say for sure.  I'll have to take a look at them tonight when I get home.  One of my friend's last night also suggested they could be sagging an replacing them would bring the motor back to factory height.

True that! Not "broken" doesn't mean they are OK, the trans mount weighs in some too, just not much.

Squeeze the sides in and adjust the four brackets to keep the shape. It should distort downward. I had a similar problem with an original shroud when I re-cored the radiator and reinstalled the shroud.
