I was looking at '69 engine bay pictures on eBay, and I ran across this photo from a '69 Grande (disregard the red circles, I put those in for another thread I was asking about). I noticed that the driver's side horn is mounted differently than most I've seen, including my car.
The only thing I could come up with was that this was intended to space the horn further away to clear the condenser/drier setup. Is that the case? My car is a factory A/C car, but the original horns were long gone when I got the car. Did this horn setup require any modification to the core support itself?
The eBay ad didn't give a VIN number, so I'm not sure when or where the car pictured was originally built. My car is a Metuchen-built '69, built on June 5th, 1969.
