1967 Instruments - Tach vs Non-Tach (Reference)

A friend asked me a while ago about the difference between the 1967 Tach versus Non-Tach instrument clusters.  I recently came across the photos I sent to him, and thought I'd post them here for reference as well.  Please note that the original clock has been replaced with a repro item on the Tach version - and there are a few screws missing on the Non-Tach clock housing, but it is an original clock...

BTW - I believe the Tach version was manufactured in January 1967, and the Non-Tach version was from August 1966.

Don't you just have to love how beautiful these Tach clusters look! There are draw-backs to them, and the Shelby had to overcome it with the SW Oil Pressure Ammeter setup. Cougar XR7 did a nice job too, using the same dash structure, but the Mustang "eyebrow" design overall, I think looks far better, notably in the 67's (but I AM partial, aren't I)

It would be interesting to know the build date (jan?) and plant as the tachs redline vs no red line varied . Haven't determined a pattern but every bit of info adds to the data base.

Door Data tag shows July 14, 1967 - Marti report states July 18 (4 days behind schedule)at Metuchen. DSO code 94 - Export. Buck tags states "Guatemala"
