Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone had ever encountered any significant wear on a '69 gas pedal assembly? I'm still troubleshooting a slight binding condition in the gas pedal on my '69 Mach 1. So far, I've replaced the throttle cable twice and have verified multiple times that the cable has a dead on straight throw to the carburetor linkage. I've run three different carburetors on this car (two Edelbrocks and a Holley), and all have had this bind in the accelerator pedal, so it's definitely not the carburetor.
At this point, all I can think is that there's something going on under the dash. Everything else is new or has been replaced. I remember inspecting and lubricating the pedal assembly when I restored the car, and at the time I didn't notice any appreciable wear. I've poked around under the dash with a light, and there's nothing interfering with the throttle cable/assembly. Maybe I'm missing something? Thanks for any suggestions, help, advice, etc.
