Topic: Fender bolt finish - 67 NJ

I am wondering what finish the bolts are that attach the top of the fenders to the aprons along the hood lines on both sides.  Zinc phosphate or cad?

They should actually be a cad finish on those bolts.

Hold your horses  Are you talking for your 67 or 68? 67 would be zinc phospate, 68 cad

I am talking about my '67 S code 'vert, an April 1967 build from Jersey.  I trust Tim will look after the '68…...

So Zinc Phosphate it is, as another "distinguished" judge said?

And in addition, since I am changing from cad bolts with a "T" and some dots above it, what markings should be on the correct zinc phosphate ones?

+1 - Found (in my collection) the star washers still being used on early cars but by the time your car was built the flat washer SEMS and two other styles were used at that plant that time period

I assumed 68 for some reason...so for 67 I would defer to the honorable Mr Lea....
