converting '67 390 GT manual to automatic(C6)
« on: August 07, 2014, 07:54:43 PM »
I know there are a lot more parts than the obvious big items...such as neutral safety, new drive shaft, kick down cable, pedal mount.....and so on.  Has anyone done this conversion and found an all inclusive list of everything needed by chance.  I'd appreciate any feedback from someone that has done this conversion.  I'm curious what the major hurdles turn out to be.  I'm limited to putting the car on high, jack stands in my garage, unfortunately.  I'm also wondering if the current axle ratio of 3.20:1 will work properly with the C6 transmission.  Thanks in advance for any feedback from those that have actually done this.  (By the way, I have other manual collector cars and I want this one to be an automatic)

I would suggest also posting this on http://www.vintage-mustang.com/, you will probably get many more responses there on a topic like this.
