A labor of love, without a doubt. I imagine, had I ever bought a car new, as Keith did and sold it a year later, I may have also attempted hunting it down too. I have to say, I probably would NOT have persued it after seeing the first set of pictures and I absolutely KNOW I would have lost heart after seeing the San Diego pictures! WOW!
I give his wife the most credit (behind the scenes) of his blog. What a trooper! Not very many would have road cross country in a jalopy as that Fox trap was! Talk about a road-trip! A road trip from hell! Suprised he ever had a kid after that! ;)

Thanks for sharing,
Richard

Great post...except that I got 0 work done this morning while reading it all!

He is local to me, I may have to find him. He looks like a wealth of knowledge!  :)

- 1994 Ford Lightning - Sold in 2004

+1

No new work done either before heading off to work for me, and I started reading about 4:30 or 5, finished by 6:30 when I posted about it.

It DOES help in motivation though...

So I got to see this car first hand over the weekend during our local Mustang clubs "Mustang Memories" show held at Ford's Product Development Center.

All I can say is that the photos do not do it justice. It was an absolutely incredible restoration...truly top notch! I took a few shots with my iPhone and will upload them when I get a moment.  ;)

I noticed that too when the latest Hemmings came in the mail.  It's cool to see a Fox body getting recognition in a magazine like Hemmings Muscle Machines.
Too much junk, too little time.

I have been thinking about my 1996 gt lately wondering where it is, and what happened to it.  It would be pretty cheap now.  Wonder how hard ti would be to find?  WOuld carfax or anything help to track it?

This needs to be brought back up.  Fantastic restoration thread.  A lot of time and dedication went into this.  He tried to do it right.  Do yourself a favor and look through this.
