The bolts that attach the shift handle to the shift control can be bought at any Mustang parts place, sure you can find them on ebay too.

Otherwise, what other parts are you looking for?

Charles
I am removing a Hurst shifter that previous owner added and replacing it with an original Ford toploader shifter I obtained from a wrecking yard.  I thought I would disassemble, clean and install a shifter rebuild kit from Toploader Heaven but they he no longer carry any shifter parts. Felt it might be wise to have the rebuild kit available when I start to reassemble because I don't know what I will need until I take apart.

Finding a ford top loader shifter in a junk yard is quite a score.  Congratulations,  Brian

Thanks Brian.

Probably should have used a different description rather than wrecking yard.  It was actually an old rusted Mustang behind an old store near Buffalo Texas sitting along side old tractors and pickps.  All of the parts were gone or rusted beyond use but I told the person what I was needing and he had shifter and links inside and that was about all he had.

I purchased these items from Bill.  He was very helpful and prompt on shipping.

Good idea - Typically what I've done, Check for heavy wear to the moving parts and joints on disassembly. If a show car then plating time ;)

Lube it going back together, making sure everything travels nice and smooth. Throw new trunions, springs and insulators (if the model uses all of those) and you should be happy.

This is what Bill recommended also.  I purchased the rebuild kit, new trunions, springs, insulators, levers, set of linkage and all of the installation hardware so I should be ready to go.
