Topic: 1967, May, Metuchen C code 11/16" front sway bar color.

Hi all: I've benefitted from a gift from a fellow Mustanger of a 11/16 front sway bar w orig., rubber insulators &  body mount brackets & bolts. were these black  or bare. There are  a few spots of paint remain by insulators. No color striping.(PO had sandblasted on car,

So: if black, gloss or semi -gloss?
Or bare?

Also: the mounting brackets appear to be grey. I've checked the various vendors and many of their brackets are grey.

Grey is more correct for the brackets than black?

believe they would be bare steel which may appear gray in pics.

Got it. They are soaking in E-vapo rust now. If they come out as I expect I'll matte clear coat them.

Please don't use reproductions (general comment) as a guide for correct/original finishes. Many providers have used NOS (service replacements) as their guide to making parts and as we are well aware of - this does not always provide the best place to start
