Window Beltline
« on: July 18, 2014, 11:43:46 PM »
I'm need of replacement beltlines for both front windows for my 69 fastback.  Hoping somebody can recommend a descent set of aftermarket ones.

Thanks

I haven't had to do this for years on any of the 69's I've had or have. So can't recommend from what is currently available. Would like to remind you to use staples and blacken them out when you do replace them.

Just a pet peeve that is checked all the time and really stands out - sort of like the pinch weld black out

Thanks Jeff for the tip, I figured I would replace with staples, wouldn't of thought of blackening them out.

A black Sharpie felt tip pin works wonders ;)  Can even be used to "touch up" small imperfections in Phosphate on parts if you need to quickly at a show

Restorationspecialties.com    talk to Dave Jr.  814-467-9842

I just installed one on a 69 I'm working on for a friend.  When this one arrived I was scratching my head because it had some sort of shoe horn attached to door striker end.  IT PREVENTS THE WINDOW CHROME FROM DAMAGING THE FELT !     Awesome people at Restorationspecialties !

Yep there are a bunch of little things that come into play even on the 69 that has to be adjusted and taken into consideration with these side window.  Having some experience with them (spending a fair amount of time fussing over them at some point counts ;)   helps allot on cars later
