Topic: Do you think this is the correct amount of overspray? Dearborn Sept 64

I'm painting an early Dearborn built (September, 2 1964) 65 Fastback Vintage Burgundy.  We are working in the trunk and I was wondering if you folks think that the amount of over spray on the inside rear quarter panels is sufficient?  Below are a couple of pics (Sorry, the driver side pic did not come out too good.  The over spray coverage is a little more than the passenger side.)  Thoughts?

With the glare its hard to tell but since you used the term "overspray" I would guess the answer is no - since the interior surface of the quarter panels in the trunk did not receive overspray normally but instead direct paint application just like the exterior of the car The surfaces above - towards the front (over the wheel wells) and the top corner of the quarter panel to quarter extension panel would have had little or no paint - overspray

Surface over the sound deadener would typically get a nice coat of paint

Ok.  When all said and done, I didn't think it looked right.  So at this point do you think it would be better to paint the inside of the rear quarter panels?

 Those are some great pictures. Is that an original example, or a correct restoration? is it typical to have the black strip caulk-like caulk pushed into the unused quarter panel hole after paint?

Normally I don't save pictures of many restored cars. If I do its for the purpose of showing what not to do    thought not always - so if you see me taking pictures please don't assume

It's a very nice unrestored car that came out for a show a few years back after not being showed for maybe 20 years before that where I saw it before we had digital camera

Yes had to seal those holes
