Hard to tell from the photos, I know the 68's had huge letters on them with wild looking notches and such, I am going to a salvage yard tomorrow, 65's and 66's are there too, could get you a set if interested.

Yep!!!

If you see a 66 with REAR belts, I'll send you a check or PayPal you.
A picture of the two outboard attaching points would also be appreciated.

Thanks

Bryan,
I have pics of my May 66 convertible with rear seat removed and the seatbelts in place before I removed them. I could take locating measurements/more pictures if you need. Let me know. I also believe the bolts when I removed them were phosphate or plain (no plating or chrome). I'll dig the package out to see.

If I want to add seatbelts to the rear seat of my 66 convt., Are these the concours correct bolts?

IMHO - yes those are what was used during 65-66. Later years are very different

Twilight,

My rear wheelhouses have the factory oval holes punched already.  I guess the factory used what they had but it did not come with rear seatbelts.  The reinforced/threaded plates are not present on the underside.  I'd still like to see your pic of what the belts are suppose to look like, when bolted in :D

No rear seat belt anchors present in a mid-year '66 car?  I would be doing some serious inspection of the rear of the car.  Sounds to me like there has been some sheet metal work done at some time.

Charles,
Do I understand you correctly?
Is it impossible that the oval punched holes in the wheelhouses are factory on my car?
When I roll up under the car on a creeper, IT"S VERY CLEAR that no floorpan or wheelhouse sheetmetal has ever been replaced???????????

Here are pics of seatbelts with rear seat removed. I'll try and get some of underside also.

Twilight's outboard 2 do not bolt where my oval holes are.  Now I'm doubting the oval holes are for seatbelt attachment points.
Charles posted some pictures recently of a 66 fastback, I believe, on the rotisserie, of which he had just painted the undercarriage.  It clearly showed seatbelt attachments in the inner wheelhouses.  My quarter trim panels clearly have a rectangular cut away that seems to allow for the outer 2 to attach to where my oval holes are.  My inner 2 are in the same place as Twilight's and already have the threaded plates installed.  Looks factory to me!!!  You can clearly see from my pictures that my car has never been restored and the Metuchen underpaint is in tact and no rust anywhere.  I just do not feel ANY sheetmetal work has been done.  If it has...they were superb at their skills.  The ONLY thing that has been butchered is the owner I bought it from in 1978, had put dual exhaust on it and just used "grubworm" bolts through the floorpans to hang the muflers.  He tied the rubber brake line away from the exhaust using safety wire.  That's worked for 40 years.  When I install Arvinodes in a couple of years, I will repair his stuff and do it just like FORD would have.

That's what I'm used to seeing on 66-67 convertibles.

In Bryan's pics, there appears to be some red-oxide primer touch-up to the rear area of the car.  Hard to say what has been done.
