Assembly Line Motorcraft Battery
« on: July 08, 2014, 06:22:07 PM »
Hi!
I was cleaning the attic of my shop and came across a battery that I think came in my brothers 86 gt that he bought new.  Is there a way that  I can decode the date and application for this Battery? Also,  is there a market for these batteries? I know finding assembly line batteries for first gen mustangs is nearly impossible.  Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks, Mike

Here are the photos of the top and side of the Battery......does this decode as an 86 mustang gt Assembly line battery?

Thanks,  Mike

Can not view pics.

What does the tag on top of the battery say? Should be some numbers and letters denoting the size of the battery.

Looks like the original battery out of my '86 GT from what I can tell in the photo. Should be a few people that could use that.  :)
