VIN stamps on '67 S codes
« on: July 01, 2014, 04:55:20 PM »
Would the engine and transmission (top loader) have a VIN stamp in '67?  Thanks.
I don't always downshift, but when I do it is near a Prius so they can hear me hurting the environment.

I have seen 4 speed top loader transmissions with VIN stamps from 1966 and 1967. I am sorry, but don't know the specific plants involved. The 1967 was my S code 4 speed car, probably San Jose. The 1966 top loader had a VIN from a K code.
