For the parts you noted:
Control arms - Best results when restoring originals with NOS ball joints.
Drive-shaft - Restore original, soak in evapo-rust. If the tube is pitted, a new one can be installed and original ends welded on.
Springs - Depends on condition, front coils can be soaked in evapo-rust as well as rear springs.
Spring mounts - Tough to get this one correct, usually have to find super nice originals. Blast and tumble.
Sway bar - Soak in evapo-rust, been seeing more of these without paint, dark metal appearance.
Rear axle - Lots of detail there, most original pieces can be restored/rebuilt.
Other pieces:
Strut rods - Use originals if not pitted or find NOS/good used. NOS bushing kits can be used, just be sure to get the correct lock nuts. Original steering stops and fasteners can usually be restored.
Tie rods - NOS is best here or restore good originals, use NOS seals if needed. Adjusting sleeves can be restored if not pitted.
Spindles - Restore originals, soak in evaporust to find markings, put back machined areas.
Probably more info on these pieces by searching old posts here.
