Ignition Coil

I need help choosing the correct ignition coil for my stock 351W Mach 1.
The coil on the car is working perfectly fine but I'm wanting to replace it despite the fact that the car has only travelled 23,000 miles, it's more than likely the original coil.
The coil I'm looking at is a yellow top (like the one in the car) 12V 1.5 ohm unit. I'm running points and condenser. The coil also has a resister wire running back to a connector at the firewall.

Any help would be appreciated.

Why are you wanting to replace your coil if it is working alright? They are good for 100's of thousands of miles. If it isn't beat up and it is still working don't worry about replacing it. FYI The coil on your Mustang was used on many other applications too.  Literally millions of yellow top coils most likely still out there on most Ford passenger car/truck engines from the 60's to early 70's.The repro coils have a bad track record of failing after a short time to a high percentage.

I thought that they may deteriorate over time and it wouldn't do any harm to replace it.

Don't fix what's not broken ;)

A good test and restoration is all that is needed in most cases
