Topic: 1970 Dearborn Mach1 Fender Extension Black Out?

Hi, I have seen a few pictures of the fender extensions on what I believe are Dearborn built 1970 mustangs blacked out behind the grille area.  I'm wondering if this is correct.  I have a Dearborn built 1970 Mach1, yellow, built 4/70.   Any insight on what areas either behind the grille, headlight bucket or both should be blacked out and what application method, sprayed or brushed, is much appreciated.

Its not a Mach I thing like the side (door, fender & quarter panel) or taillight panel black out is.

I thought we had already covered this in another thread here since we opened - but guess what I'm recalling was one of the other sites I've posted the pictures and details to. Guess its time to do it here also.

Getting late here - so will post them tomorrow. Just wanted you to know someone saw the thread and responded

Yes applied before they were bolted to the fender. Not sure of the sheen - after all these years of exposure   But very likely something in the semi-gloss black range of things
