Autolite 4300 Choke fitting

What type of fitting attaches the choke tube to the housing on a 68 GT350 automatic with a Autolite 4300. It has a flare type fitting now but thought it may have used a compression type fitting that is used on other models I have seen.

are you talking about the long brass fitting? Hard to find, I think only off original carb.

Yes, as I said this one is the flare type and does not seem correct.

I was looking to see if I could get a photo of the fitting, I am assuming you are talking about the fitting on the CARB, not the fitting on the tube, right? The fitting on the tube should be an inverted compression fitting, (male threads) not like the 2-barrel version with a farrel (female threads)
Mustangtek has these images of a 4300 that almost show the insides of the fitting on the choke housing in one image

These pictures  are how I remember the choke tubes and related fittings on my 68 Cougar J-code 302 anyways

Sure looks like the (female) fitting is part of the choke heater, exactly as I remember it. The other (male threaded) fiting is part of the tube as seen in the Missouri site mentioned earlier

I need the female part that screws in to the housing. Any idea where to look for one?

Don't think they screw into the choke cover but are bonded - most of the time there is a fair amount of flashing so its possible that the fitting is set into the mold when the plastic housing is made.

I've seen them NOS for sale on EBay before - just the covers. They were serviced. When I've seen them there were not really expensive since they don't share the same applications such as the Holley or 4100 Autolites

Jumped the gun on that one, the application looked right but at a closer look, I see what you mean. (still might serve his purposes though)
Does anybody have an old catalogue that has the correct part number? I have also spotted a couple different suffix coded ones that are: C7AZ-9848-B and  C7AZ-9848-C.
Niether are not listed with application or photographs.

That is the fitting that I have, it appears to be a flare type. Yet in your picture I see a compression nut and ferial  on the line. What is correct?
