See attached photo of my replated original 1967 June 30 build (SJ) hood hinges and note the marks left by the original hardware...they are makrs from peri sems hex-head bolts.
If one orders new bolts from AMK, specifically for 1967 application (AMK # F-102), you will receive external-toother coni sems bolts for this area (hinge to body). As shown in the photo, I believe my late 67 car used peri sems, not external toother sems.

I see that AMK has a different PN for this same application for 1968 (F-202) and the description only mentions peri sems.

Does this make sense? Could my late '67 car have received the 68 hood hinge to body mounting hardware?

In general, the difference between 67 and 68 under hood hardware is the finish, -S2 (Phosphate) for 67, -S39 (cadmium)for 68. (AMK supplies -S7 cadmium which is a lesser grade than factory original -S39.) Most common underhood bolts are p/n 378178-Sx. The physical sizes and form factor are the same, 5/16-18X1.0 hex head, tooth disc lock washer, lead point. The external toothed type were used mostly in 1964 and 65, but phased out in 1966 for the toothed lock washer. You should be using the dish lock washer type.

+1. I haven't seen the external tooth bolt used in that hinge location on ether 67 or 68. The witness marks indicate the same on your hinge.

Jeff, my 7R02C156 has toothed washers on hood and trunk hinges, disc lock everywhere else.  That is in line with your observations.  The prevailing head symbol is the double quote "".
