Front Frame Seam Sealant Question- 66 SJ
« on: April 15, 2014, 12:20:11 PM »
Can anyone tell me if the gap in the photo should be sealed shut. I don't have a photo of what was originally there if anything.   Thanks,Bob

What plant and month ???

Its mentioned in many places here that it will help in the long run if you add your VIN or car description (plant, eng, trans, option, projected or real build date) in your signature. If not you'll almost always get a first response asking for it ;)

Answers/responses this week are going to be a bit slow I would guess since allot will be taking part in the anniversary events around the world

Sorry Jeff ,I did not see your response earlier. The car is a 1966 shelby Gt350 cs 1512. so it would be San Jose built.I am unsure of the build date but all the sheet metal shows  late february date codes. Thanks,Bob.

Looks like you've done allot of work since I last saw (in pictures)  of it.

That helps

So here are a couple (not easy finding pictures of that exact location) of pictures suggesting that they were just left alone - no sealer
