9" Center Section
« on: March 21, 2014, 09:43:57 PM »
For an early 67, Metuchen built car, with a 9" rear. What would be the correct finishes for the pinion snubber bracket or "hood" and the drive shaft yoke?
Thanks in advance

Bare steel on the pinion snubber bracket and bare cast steel on the yoke. The shield that is pressed into the yoke that covers the pinion seal is also bare steel which will have a brighter finish then the yoke.

+1 Also consider that though they were both bare steel they would have a very different look since both are formed differently (one cast the other pressed) so consider this when refinishing them ;)
