66 Mustang GT electrical issues
« on: March 16, 2014, 12:15:25 PM »
Everything was 100% operational until Yesterday. Just wanted to check operation of electric top and that is when problems started. Now car starts fine but fuel gauge, oil pressure gauge, temp gauge not working. Also radio, turn signals, flashers and wipers and A/C not working. Horn works as well as rally pack and lighter. Courtesy lights also work and so does top. Checked fuses and all are good. Could this be a bad ignition switch or a bad constant voltage regulator or combination of both or something else. Any help I would be greatly thankful for

The ignition switch would be my starting point. NPD has NOS Motorcraft switches for about $50. In case you hadn't heard, the car is closing in the half century mark.

+1.  All of your symptoms are related to ACC powered items, including those that are fused and not fused.  To me, I'm suspicious of the ignition switch/ACC ring connector, the switch itself.

I'll speculate that your heater blower motor doesn't work either.
