« on: March 10, 2014, 09:12:29 PM »
Just sharing a picture of the edge protection provided for workers and repair personnel behind the gauges of a 68 Mustang

Picture taken from a 68 San Jose car

Hope this helps someone

Boy...Ford should have used those tricks on the doors when installing the various door interior hardware.  Maybe the workers wore leather sleeves?

Looks like it might be a 67 by the location of the vacuum lines with the green stripe for tilt column?

I've got the gaffers tape in the same location on my 67 SJ. But no windlace.

You also frequently see that windlace on RH side of pedal support where wiring travels toward wiper motor. Also note in picture how far dash blackout comes down

Might be best to describe it as the defroster vent black out ;)   but that one is way further down than most I've seen or have pictures of

Thing I might have a couple more 68 SJ one to compare how consistently they installed wind lace to both.  As mentioned the 67 San Jose examples I've foudn pictures of had none on either side - in some cases not there but no shadow on the brace like the wiring clips left

Yep, found the same in my three San Jose 68's.  2 Dec 67 build S codes and an April C code GTCS. Don't recall on the March '68 Dearborn X code...
