1964 1/2 correct wipers??
« on: March 04, 2014, 03:27:02 PM »
I understand that the 64 1/2-65 wiper bases on the arm are a smooth cap and the wipers are "bright". How about the metal blade assemblies themselves??? Are they a satin look or polished , like the wiper arm/bases?? Any stampings on these such as Trico, etc.? Are they rounded or smooth/flat metal blade assemblies?? Thanks

Metal blade assemblies would be stainless steel with 'Trico' stamped in them on the ends.

The early wiper arms/blades are not really 64 1/2 specific, they were used way into '65 production, transitioning to later style in April '65.

So the metal blade assemblies would be as shiny as the wiper arms? Both being polished stainless?? Thanks for the reply and claification on the Trico stamping.

A few pictures to illustrate what the others mentioned ;)

Full shot of earlier style

Wiper arm marking

Early smooth base arm style
- Charles might recognize this one

Later flared base arm style
