Brackets for electrical to starter motor
« on: February 10, 2014, 05:20:57 PM »
It seems that I took waaaay too few pictures.  June 65 2+2 GT, K code.

There are two brackets that hold the positive power cable running  from the solenoid to the starter.  I'm not sure where they mount on the engine.  Also, does the heat shield on the wire belong between the braces or is it back at the starter?

the brackets go under the motor mount bolts and the shielding between the two brackets.

- the shielding between the two brackets.
Not quite, the woven shield it too long to go "between" without going into the plastic bushings at the brackets.

I promise to be politically correct in all my posts to keep the BBBB from vociferating.

You just need to trim the woven shield to fit between the two brackets.

Mine are original except the cable.  I'll see how it fits.
