1970 Mach 351C Vacuum line
« on: January 31, 2014, 10:56:42 AM »
i have a 1970 351C 4V with Ram Air. What should the vacuum hose be from under the air cleaner to the snorkel actuator? Just black or should it have a colored stripe? Where can i get the correct hose?

My original 70 Mach 1 351C Ram Air Dearborn built ram air hose is black with a blue stripe. I've owned the car since 9/73. National Parts Depot has the correct hose with blue stripe. Pg 140 in their catalog. $16.95 Part # 12226-8A which is used on 71-73 ram air systems but I believe is the same used on 70s.

Unfortunately I've not included the 1970 engine vacuum diagrams in the library yet though the 69 ones do show the blue striped hose (as mentioned by the ClevelandKid above)

This would be the MX style hose (not the solid stripe)  and I believe Kevin Marti makes these.
