Dec '64 Dearborn K Code Conv.
« on: January 30, 2014, 11:02:58 AM »
I'm starting the restoration on my Twilight Turquoise K Code. My question is about undercarriage color. Should it be black or red oxide? If black would it be the same black as engine bay or the same black as dash and interior floor?

Thanks in advance

You need to provide a little more information. What year and plant did your car come from?

I have found black undercarriage around that time period.  It is typically more of a grayish black, not as deep black as the engine bay might be.

Sounds like a very dark gray batch color car from the firewall rearward just based on what you've provided ;)
