68 Headrest Question
« on: January 18, 2014, 09:35:11 AM »
Does anybody know the length of the headrest guide tube bezel? It's the part that connects to the headrest mount in the seat. Also the width of the upper most part that is on top of the seat and the thickness of it? I have the headrest and mounts, but no bezels as of yet. Also I found 2 and are NOS, but they are  600 a pair. Is that too high a price?

Can't help with the sizes, but on the price these are very hard to find items.  Kinda up to the seller to set a price and see...

We occasionally have them, none now though. Pretty sure that the ones for Cougar and Maybe Lincoln/Thunderbird may have taller posts, due to the thicker seat foam?
Majority of them have split at the base of the threads, or broken somewhere in the middle, either during installation or just time.

They could be dummied up by using the chromed seat latch bezels glued to the top of PCV pipe. It would fool most casual observers.
