I don't know if it was a full inch, but they definitely were a little lower and had different front/rear springs.

Thanks for the response.  I read that somewhere years ago and can't seem to find any confirmation in writing.  I have on occasion put a tape measurer to mine and compared it to other cars I had at the time and a full 1" was the number.  With 215/70/14 tires from the ground to the fender ridge top 33 & 1/4".  Measured through the wheel center.  Thanks,  Brian

Back in 1999, Jeff Speegle (anyone know who he is?) posted on VMF to a request about ride heights of 1966 Mustangs, based upon a technical service bulletin.

Long story short, the HiPo Mustangs sat about 1/2" lower than all others.  There's a small difference between I6 and the other V8's, but it is measured in a few 32nds or 64ths of an inch.

Back in 1999 ?  Didn't know about VMF or TSB's and had a 19" monitor bigger than my TV set.  By 'HiPo" you mean K-codes only ? GT cars as well as GT 350's ?  Do agree the difference between 6 cyl. and 8 cyl. stock production ride height was negligible.  Brian

Need to repost that graph in the FAQ's here for 65-66's

GT350's were not included in the Ford info, I did post it on VMF a couple of times over the years (others continued to repost on occasion)  but the source was a Ford TSB from 66 I believe

Yes, K-code Mustangs.

I have J. Speegle to blame for my obsession with Mustangs, which began circa 1999.

I've posted the basic TSB article info in the 65-66 FAQ section so it can be found and applied by others in the future. In this one everything is measured to the fender lip from level ground. Other cars/examples I've seen measure the difference between the suspension bumper and suspension - this is allot cleaner and easier ;)

It also explains settling the car and suspension before measurements are taken.

Thanks Jeff; interesting and not often mention bit of Mustang trivia.  It always puts a smile on my face that this kind of info is transmitted in drafting table 32's and 64's.  Brian
