NOS 65 spinner wheel covers
« on: January 01, 2014, 11:00:52 PM »
This seller claims he has a set of NOS 13" wheel covers but as you can see there
are no spinners on them, did Ford sell the spinner wheel cover less the spinner
so you can use your old spinner with the new cover?
If someone has a old MPC maybe they could look up C5ZZ-1130-C and check the description?

MPC shows that part number C5ZZ-1130-C is C4ZA-1130-E (Listed as ID number) a 14" hubcaps "Stamped Mustang - Black center"

Note - all of the hubcaps on the page (assuming these are the spinner ones) show "incl. spinner"

The spinner wheel covers would have been sold with the spinners.  I had to buy a set of NOS 13" spinner covers so I could rob the spinners and use on some 14" covers.  These actually look close to what I sold several years back, might be the same ones!

I bought an NOS 13" one that was a replacement item built and packaged in Canada. From the Ford box it came in, there was no way a spinner could have been installed and packaged along with the hubcap. With that said, I believe that the item would have come with the spinner in a separate box though.

Ok, then C5ZZ -C is not the original boxes for these then.

I have a set of NOS 13" with spinners in the original boxes and they are C5ZZ-1130-S.

Wouldn't mind having them even if they don't have spinners but not at that price!

There is a set of NOS 13-inch wheel covers with spinners for sale on eBay right now as well, you may have seen them. I asked the seller about the spinners having the FoMoCo on the reverse but didn't get a reply. My set of spinners that I have now (earlier Ford crest type) has the FoMoCo on the back of each spinner. Here's the thread I had on it a while back: http://www.concoursmustang.com/forum/index.php?topic=3620.msg19469#msg19469

It looks like the spinners were obviously boxed separately in this case..
