Restoring a 68 deluxe wheel

Just sourced a nice core and was wondering if anyone has tips/tricks for restoring or a link to a site with info. 

Both redoing the "woodgrain" and removing and reapplying the mylar strip.

There is a recent post in the Interior section above on wheel wood grain. Sorry I do not know how to cut and past it here.
