Topic: Fender Plug ?

     The forward portion of the fenders have this round hole.  Anything supposed to be there ?   A plug, grommet or just the way it is ?  Thanks,  Brian

Just the way it is/was. Never seen any original cars (or other wise) with a plug or evidence of anything in that hole. Likely some engineer some place had a purpose but I've never used it to reach anything behind there like the other access holes in the front fenders

I've used that hole to access the fender extension nut in that corner with a socket and extension. 

No plug was used on that hole that I've ever seen though.

you cannot access the fender extension nut from that round hole.  too small.  you can access the fender extension nut easily from that larger rectangular type cutout.

I think the hole was more of a site hole since working in a blind area if trying to remove or install headlite bucket with fender already installed.
