Dual exhaust reinforcement plates
« on: November 13, 2013, 02:22:55 AM »
Hi,

I'm looking at a 1965 mustang gt, I have a pic of the rear reinforcement plates, do these look ok, i see some gaps at the edges and every pic I've seen on the net have had a nice close fit?  From the pic I can't see the spot welds, can some one tell/show me the difference between a factory spot weld and a replacement weld?

Thanks!!

Look good to me, I see some spot welds on the right side one.

Thanks Charles,

are the gaps I am seeing on the sides just normal, was it just fords quality control, I didn't see any pics anywhere on the net where there were gaps:)  Whats a tell tell sign that the spot welds are factory?  Sorry I'm a newbie:)

+1 . Seen them with compareable fit /gap many times.
