Topic: New Group Project - 71-73 Torque Tables

Though not specifically "Concours" we all find our self at times needing quick access to the suggested factory torque readings for the more typical car building components. So I thought it would be a good project to put together a group (for ever year or two) of these handy/quick guides in the library.

To that end I don't have access to every year and volume of these. I also thought  many of you would like to help out so here is the request

If you have access to a 71, 72 and or a 73 Shop Manual please look up the following fill in the needed info. Please specify if your listing 65 or 66 ratings and if including engine torque ratings engine size since a 6 cylinder will be different from a V8 for example. Some of the following items will not apply - just ignore them - its a generic list for across the classic period

I have attached the 71 torque specifications as well as the 72 torque specifications.  I have to thank a member on a 71-73 specific forum that I also belong to for researching and compiling the 71 specs from his Ford manuals.  Intersting to note the 302-HO specifications.  I have verified this with him to confirm it is not a typo.  This must offer further validation of the intent of a Boss 302 in 71 vs the limited Boss 351.  I will continue to pursue the 73 specifc torque information and post when available.  I hope this helps others complete their projects.

Yes Ford planned on producing (for the masses) a 71 Boss 302. Ended up making a protype or two (one is still around)  and plenty of parts that ended up as conversation pieces (stripes and decals)  and service replacements for the 69-70 versions (drive train pieces)
