That clip is used elsewhere  look at 70 & up plastic rad top seal.

+1  Yep the odd narrowed one  - as compared to the 69-70 San Jose one used for that purpose.

Just three of them. I was going to check my 67 assembly manual but it is at the shop so I checked in the 68. The divider part#C7ZB-76546A06 Shield - Folding Top  Compartment For R.P.O. Glass Back Curtain Only. Secured with 358407 clip 3 required. 380660 screw 4 required.

Our car has the folding back glass and has this part. I wonder if the standard top with the vinyl back glass would have not had this part? I will look at the 67 assembly manual tomorrow.

Beautiful car, Vintage Burgundy is one of my favorite Mustang colors. I have not seen it on a 67 GTA. What is your interior color?

Thanks July 65 - and welcome as well!

When it came time to paint our car, we went back-and-forth on Vintage Burgundy or Nightmist Blue.  We ultimately chose Nightmist Blue, but I think both colors look great on a '67 GTA...

BTW - Here are some photos of another Vintage Burgundy '67 390 GTA that I used to see at various Mustang shows in the Seattle area...

Been looking for years.  Never found them.  Not even listed in the AMK Guide to Ford Fasteners.  Marty is the only owner I've found who has them, and have asked quite a few... the photo is the first I have seen of them. 

If anyone knows a source I'm looking too....

Thing these are a wrecking yard piece (sure look like the same thing) unless you got lucky and opened a NOS package that had a bunch in it (sorry don't know the part number)

Found them on 70's big Fords radiator shields - retaining a thin piece black plastic that fills the gap between the radiator and radiator support like on 71-73 Mustangs and Cougars.  Phosphate and oil finish They often get thrown away or not replaced when a radiator is replaced

Come to think of it West Coast Cougars might/should have some used ones










Part number may be incorrect - plenty of non- factory details in the MPC's

Just trying to help with a possible source for the pieces

As far as numbers,  it happens - other illustrations show other part numbers and of course we don't know for sure if any are correct    Even the finish is listed is different than I've found them. Guess we need to focus on the stuff we "know" or at least have some comfort with and work from there.

In any case - don't thing we're going to be going to FORD to order any tomorrow so the part number might not play too heavy in the search

Quite the contrary, a part number, even incorrect, can lead you to a drawing, and in this case 358407-S2 is shown in the Ford Standard and Utility Parts Catalog, January 1965 (Jim Osborn AM0202) on page 33. The accompanying two measurements may be sufficient to identify the part, but insufficient to reproduce it. I also looked in Ford Car Parts to see if the Motorcraft stock number, GG-65, was listed under convertible parts but it was not (although sometimes you get lucky).
