Topic: 1967 GTA Convertible...

I picked up my car from the body shop yesterday afternoon, so I thought I share a few photos of the joyous occasion...

FYI - As I've mentioned in some of my other postings, this was never intended to be a concours car - so there are a few minor modifications here and there - but overall, it's mostly stock, and I've tried to duplicate as many of the original assembly line markings as I could...

Now I just have to put the interior into it, a few more bits in the engine bay and trunk, and then some decals...
Just in time to put it away for the winter!!

Marty - Your car looks great too!  It's always fun to see '67 GTAs in different color combinations, and yours looks awesome in Dark Moss Green.  Regarding my interior - right now it has a blue high-back "junker seat" from a '72 Mustang (just to move the car around), but I'll be sticking with the original 6U Deluxe Parchment.  It should go well with my Nightmist Blue exterior (below is a preview with the back seat installed)...

Gary - I have to agree with Jeff, these cars are never finished - there always seems to be some little thing that can be improved upon!

Did the 67 SJ convertibles have a trunk divider board like the OO unrestored car here in our area a 67 MET. convertible feature in MM years back?

Ours does. I am glad it was useable as the reproduction is not even close.

Marty is your car SJ  as I was told sj never used the divider board but had a hard time believing that 1 plant didn't but the other 2 did?

Yes it is a SJ car built 11-4-66. It used some very usual clips at the top to hold it to the structure. I will have to see if I can find a photo.

That clip is used elsewhere  look at 70 & up plastic rad top seal.

Yes, the '67 SJ Convertibles had the trunk divider boards as well.  They attached with four "wafer-head" Phillips screws at the bottom (the same kind of screws that hold the well liner in place), and a couple of clips at the top (which I still need to find)...

I first purchased the NPD repro trunk divider, and as Marty says, it's not even close at all - more like a heavy piece of black construction paper.  However, the reproduction that Jack Brooks makes (and the one that I ultimately used in my car) is just like the original...
