69 Window Adjustment ?
« on: October 30, 2013, 05:34:56 PM »
Looking at he vertical stainless trim piece on the foreward/side window; does it completely cover the 1/4 window vertical chrome piece or not ?  Which of the pictures below is correct ?  Thanks,  Brian

The bottom.  Only the rubber should be touching the quarter glass.

Any thoughts on the large gap, in the weatherstrip, at the end of the lower boomerang as seen in Picture # 2 Right/passenger side and not seen in Picture # 1 Left/drivers side.  Brian

Looks odd - need to look at a few dozen other examples to see if that's normal - certainly doesn't look so and I don't recall that big difference on any of mine

Hate to think that after all this time we would discover that the passenger door is longer than the driver like on a AMC Pacer :(   Sorry had to mention it - Pacers don't get mentioned here very often   ;)

I think it looks a little odd, as well, and thanks for taking a look.  Brian

Looks like the DS window glass is to far back. What does the gap look like at the pillar post between the window and post ?  The PS looks more correct.

Well; I have decided to go with the Drivers/Left window trim and weatherstrip at the quarter windows.  That method works.  The door closes firmly, seals tightly and looks, to me, correct from the inside as well as the outside.  I have a piece of weatherstrip that I did some dry fitting with and it just works better covering all the chrome on the quarter window.  I know one or two of you guys will have this job coming up and I would like to hear what you decide.  Anyway this is the method that works best for me.    Thanks, Brian
