I am getting close to replacing the rear leaf springs on my 64 1/2 and was wondering about the correct details of the springs. The car is a 1964 June built Dearborn coupe with a 260 V8 and 3 speed. Can anyone tell me if the springs should be natural or black, and if black, then flat, gloss, or satin? Also, what identifying srtipes should be on them if any? I have seen specific color stripes on other restored cars that denote type and weight limit? Also spacing distance of the stripes would be helpful too. Thanks!
