I acquired some NOS tail light housings a while back. While installing them I noticed some of the blackout paint that is applied to the inside of the housing oversprayed onto the exterior rim of the housing. Is there any safe way to remove this overspray from the exterior rim without damaging the finish to the aluminum finish? I would hate to dull the anodizing or finish just to remove these small areas of overspray. I am sorry that I do not have any close up pictures of the overspray, but it is in the left bend on the bottom of the housing where it turns to go up.
