April 68 San Jose 289

C code/C4

Engine is out of the car for clean-up and painting.  If anyone has some photos of a correct engine on a stand or a link to some it would be appreciated.

Not going all out on this one, but as long as I am repainting it figure I might as well put in a bit of effort where I can.  More familiar with the big blocks and this is my first 289...

OK, that must be too hard.  :o

How about what style hose clamps would have been used on a late April 289 GT/CS.  Wittek tower or wire?

Nope, do not ahve that one.  But every book written has detractors/errors.  Even as a book that has high regard I believe it was written some time ago (find reviews from as long ago as 1998) I think some new facts may have come to light concerning time/plant specific issues that may not be covered. No?

Not asking for a list of possible references, just a link to photos of a recently done "early 68" restored C code from to current knowledge of San Jose practices.  No one?

Radiator = wire (with staples) is what is expect and normal though we do have an example from the line - no month to go with it - with towers. I would go with wire at this point for your application

Heater = tower

Don't normally keep pictures of restored cars

Pictures of J codes should be helpful to you since the details are pretty much the same orther than the obvious carb and intake difference

I suppose you've already looked at the following threads
