Topic: 70 Rear Wing Teaco or DOZB

     I have a rear wing/spoiler and the stands are marked with ' TEACO ' on the downside and no other markings.  Recently I have seen a couple of these, rear wing assemblies, for sale and the stands are marked  ' DOZB '.  Are the DOZB's assembly line or the service part/over the counter version for sale in the 80's ?  Is the ' TEACO ' the assembly line installed piece or is it also a service edition.  Just a curiosity question and if someone knows the difference great if not it is of no real importance.  Thanks,  Brian

Might want to change the title of the thread to just 70 since the 69 is built differently in the main body as well as the stands

Will have to pull a spoiler off a car to check to check the details for you unless someone gets to it before me

you may have a 70 mopar as same company made both 70 ford & mopar.  The mopar looks same except stud adjuster goes other side reversed than ford & a pentastar cast on bottom where the dozb# would be.

     Thanks Jeff.  Little unexpected to see all three markers; the engineering number, the FoMoCo/Oval logo and the TEACO casting.  The casting/mold methods appears to be different as the underside characteristics are not the same.  I would have guessed the same molds would have been used and I would have been wrong.  Under my stands are mounting pads and they do have ID's; DOWB-6544229-B and 228-B.  I will be putting some paint on my piece soon and will have to look a little closer.  Don't see how I could have missed all that on the first look but will check it again.  Thanks again.  Brian

ready to install an orig doz deck spoiler on my 70 boss 302-  couple of the studs had mounting nuts that are reg nuts and washers- were the orig's a flanged nut?-  it did come to me with one flanged nut with attached washer -could spin but not  a separate piece. orig stands &  studs. - is the npd " concours" mounting kit ok to use?  i do need a proper pair of gaskets.
