Napa auto parts use to have a program where you could send yours (and get it back) your water pump.

Last time I needed one done I just opened the phone book (guess there is yellow pages on line now) found a place 20 miles away, called them and took it to them

Maybe you have someone close by so you don't have to mail it and trust that you'll get your back

The guys on the Hipo forum have said good things about Automotive Friction as well.  I think I'm going to send my 65 FoMoCo pump to them for a rebuild.

Just sent my 72 351 Cleveland pump to waterpumpman.com.  Rebuild was $89 + $12 return shipping.  Turned out well.  It came back painted with a cast blast that I have now installed and painted blue.  Here is his response to my email inquiring about his rebuild service.

Yes I could rebuild your unit ,the cost would be $89.00 + return shipping of $12.00 . This would be a complete rebuild ,with new Premium bearing ,seal, and gaskets, ready to install. You can reach me @248-225-0625. You would get your original pump back, exactly what was sent in ,only just like new. This should only take 2 days "in house" for the rebuild, as we stock a lot of parts. Payment can either be handled thru Pay-pal or you can send a check with the unit . Let me know. If you are interested, please send to my shop address, .listed below, as it speeds the process. We have over 30 yrs experience in the water pump business. Let me know.

Suggest that you place a wanted ad in the section here on this site as well as others.

Sure someone will dig through their collection to see if they have a  match

It would help if you included the plant, transmission, options and approximate build date for your entries. For example, there are two different water pumps used in 1965 on 289 engines (maybe three). As for the distributor, the correct Ford part number is C5GF-12127-A. It was used on all Mustang "A" codes (plus Comet, Fairlanes etc) in 1965 (and 1966 non-smog "A" codes).
