Topic: D code drive shaft

64.5 D code 4 speed question. Did all drive shafts have numbers or just the painted rings? I power washed mine and found 3 rings on the end near the transmission input shaft. colors Pink, lite green, and black. Then there is a blue ring on the differential end but no numbers.

Not all had the numbers. Sounds like you did good to find color on the original stripes.  I've soaked driveshafts in evapo-rust, always cool to see when they come out.
